Several drawings done for university applications. The topic was thresholds, and I tried to find interpretations that were a little bit unconventional. These drawings represent thresholds in time, in architecture, in spirit and in nature.

 

I have always tried to find the beauty in the everyday things that surround me. The reason I enjoy observational drawing, as opposed to referring exclusively to photographs, so much is that the finesse and care required for an illustration to communicate that same sense of wonder to the viewer is constantly challenges my technical skill, as well as judgement in choosing a motif, style, and method.
